Bridging Class (Manchester, UK)
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and lack of resources, we are unable to provide Zen courses in our Manchester (UK) center. However, we welcome all practitioners to join the LIVE online Beginner’s Zen Classes held by the San Jose Center (US).

None Zen Center
The Bridging Class is designed for students who have completed the Beginner’s Class in the Center, or have learned meditation before but want to learn a new meditation skill. The aims are to help students get familiar with the method of doubting meditation or huatou (Chn. huatou, Jpn. wato, Krn. hwadu), enhance the right view about Zen and Zen meditation, and build up a regular sitting habit.
The Bridging Class consists of 3 lecture classes and 3 sitting meditation sessions. We provide the lecture classes online for all global students. You may find the lecture classes by signing up for the Online Zen School AND enrolling in the course Beginner’s Zen Class and Bridging Class at https://nonezencenter.teachable.com/.
The sitting meditation sessions are held on Saturdays at 10:45 am – 11:30 am, with a 15-to-30 minute sitting session and followed by a group sharing session. We provide outdoor meditation classes in summer, as long as the weather/condition allows. In other seasons, the sitting sessions will be held at our meditation site, the Friends Meeting House.
If the event of class cancellation, we will post the cancellation message on Facebook during lunch time on the Friday before the Class (12 pm – 1 pm). Please like and follow us on FB for the updated class information.
We provide tuition-free meditation classes, but we do ask that you consider providing a donation. The None Zen Center is run entirely by donations. It is the loving gifts from our teachers, students, and friends which create a tuition-free learning environment for Zen meditation, and so will your generosity surely pass on the same love to others.
We recommend a £30 donation for the three session Bridging Class, but donations of greater and lesser sums are all appreciated. No one will be turned away for lack of funds.
You may give the gift at the Center when you attend the class.
Classes will be held on the following dates:
