Advanced Class, Tainan
(We provide English meditation classes for non-native Chinese speakers only)
Advanced Class focuses on the Zen method of Doubting Meditation (Ch: Huatou, Jp: Wato, Kr: Hwadu), the method we apply in all our classes and retreats except Beginner’s Class.
Advanced Class is a 3-session course aiming to help students get familiar with the Zen method of doubting meditation and keep focusing on the method. Students will learn more meditation skills and Zen concepts, and practice doubting meditation in the weekly 60-minute class. By the end of the class, students are supposed to get themselves ready to move onto the Training Program.
The class meets weekly on Saturdays at 11 am to 12 pm, a 30-to-40 minutes sitting session, a group discussion and a lecture on the method of Doubting meditation and Zen ideas.
Those who want to join Advanced Class but are not familiar with the Zen method of doubting meditation are required to take a 60-minute Bridging Class in advance. If you have meditation experience and want to learn the skill of doubting meditation, please feel free to contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org
Prior online application is a must. As required by Taiwan law, a non-profit organization provides classes to its members only. Those who apply for classes will automatically apply for the learning membership in order to take classes at None Zen Center, and that is why you will be required to fill up some of your personal information on the application form. No membership fee will be charged for learning membership though. None Zen Center reserves the right to accept or reject any application.
All classes provided by None Zen Center are free of charge, but we do ask that you consider providing a donation. Your gifts make it possible for us to keep the Center operating, and for people to learn and practice Zen continuously.
