Bridging Class
The 2-hour Bridging Class, held from 9:00 am to 11:00 am on a Saturday, is designed for students who have completed the Beginner’s Class in the Center, or have learned meditation before but want to learn a new meditation skill. The aims are to help students get familiar with the method of Doubting Meditation or huatou (Chn. huatou, Jpn. wato, Krn. hwadu), enhance the right view about Zen and Zen meditation, and build up a regular sitting habit.
We recommend practitioners take the sitting sessions at the same time to build up a regular sitting habit. We have Zoom sitting sessions from 8:00 pm to 8:45 pm on most Tuesday nights. You may join this Tuesday sitting session from anywhere via our WhatsApp group. After a 15-to-20 minute sitting session, Shifu (Teacher or Master) Linda or Shifu Jeremy will lead the group sharing and accept questions. Besides the Tuesday Zoom sitting sessions, you may join a once-a-month 2-hour hybrid sitting session at our Taipei or Tainan physical centers or via Zoom on a Saturday. In this 2-hour sitting session, Shifu Linda or Shifu Jeremy will give an opening lecture, lead sitting sessions, and provide group sharing and Q&A time.
In addition to the real-time Zoom sitting sessions held in the Taipei Center, Shifu Linda and Shifu Jeremy lead in-person and real-time Zoom sitting sessions for practitioners in two other time zones, San Jose, California (Pacific Time) and UK (GMT) . You may find the sitting session calendar below and sign up for the class of your desired time zone(s) to receive the class updates, reminders, and Zoom links.
