PUBLIC SITTING SESSIONS (Taiwan)

SIGN UP FOR TAIWAN SITTING SESSIONS

All meditation courses held by None Zen Center are tuition-free. Donations are welcome. Advance registration is required; limited seats are available.

Sitting Sessions aims to create a communal Zen meditation environment for practitioners to build up a regular sitting habit and enhance their meditation practice. Each session of the Sitting

Session spans three consecutive Tuesdays, with the first week featuring a lecture with Zen stories and a monthly evaluation, while the second and third weeks are for the sitting meditation. Shifu (Teacher or Master) Linda or Shifu Jeremy will lead these sessions. You are welcome to join our Tuesday Zoom Sitting Sessions and meditate with us from anywhere, every Tuesday between 8:00 PM and 8:45 PM (UTC+8). Please refer to the Tuesday Zoom sitting session schedule below for more details.

In addition to the Tuesday Zoom Sitting Sessions, we host a monthly half-day retreat on Saturdays, from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM (UTC+8). This half-day retreat is a hybrid class, allowing practitioners to participate either via Zoom or in person at the Taipei and Tainan Centers. In the retreat, we will focus on the teaching of Doubting Meditation or huatou (Chn. huatou, Jpn. wato, Krn. hwadu). If you are new to or interested in this meditation method, you may sign up for the Online Zen School and enroll in the Bridging Class for the skill of Doubting Meditation. You are welcome to apply your own meditation skill in the Sitting Sessions. Shifu (Teacher or Master) Linda or Shifu Jeremy will lead the guided meditation, lead group sharing, answer questions, and deliver a lecture on the right views or skills of Zen meditation. Please bring your own cushion, and you are welcome to join us via Zoom or at our Taipei or Tainan Centers (Click and see the half-day retreat schedule). Due to limited in-person seats, please sign up for the class in advance to secure your spot.

Tuition Free
We provide tuition-free meditation classes, but we do ask that you consider providing a donation. The None Zen Center is run entirely by donations. It is the loving gifts from our teachers, students, and friends which create a tuition-free learning environment for Zen meditation, and so will your generosity surely pass on the same love to others.

We recommend a NT$800 donation for 3-session sitting session. Donations of greater and lesser sums are all appreciated. No one will be turned away for lack of funds. You may donate online or give the gift at the Center.
